Baked Brie

Ingredients
  • 1 Brie Round (The Bakeable kind)
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Package Crescent Roll Dough
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 Box Water Crackers (or any other favorite cracker)
  • 3 Granny Smith Apples
Directions
Cub the brie in two (2) through the center (So that there is a top and bottom half). Sprinkle the brown sugar on the bottom and replace the top half. Unroll the crescent rolls and pat together all of the dotted lines so there is no perforation. Wrap the dough around the brie and press any edges together (cut off excess dough). Brush the top of the dough with egg white (you won’t use the whole thing, just a thin brushing. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with water crackers and sliced apples. If you want to be fancy, feel free to garnish it with some red grapes. Prepare Ahead

Spinich in a Bread Bowl

Ingredients
  • 10 oz Package of frozen chopped spinach, thawed and strained (I squeeze it to get all of the excess water out)
  • 16 oz Sour cream
  • 1 Cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Envelope of vegetable soup mix (Dry)
  • 8 oz Canned water chestnuts
  • 3 Green onions
  • 1 Sourdough (or other kind) round loaf
Directions
Drain the can of water chestnuts and chop them into pieces around ¼ of an inch. Chop the Green onions. Mix ingredients (except bread) and refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut a bowl into the center of the sourdough bread and cut the pieces into squares to use for dipping. At the last minute put the dip in the bread bowl. I also purchase some pita chips to use once the excess bread is gone. Prepare Ahead
The dip can be prepared the day before the shower, however the bread should be purchased and cut day of. .
